In January 2007, Parveen.Kumar (entrepreneur)|Parveen.Kumar and Vineesh.K.J were Electrical Engineering graduate students at IGNO University.

In April 2007, "Parveen Guide to the World Wide Web" was renamed "pavitraonline!", for which the official expansion is "Creative Solution For You". Parveen And Hari said they selected the name because they liked the word's general definition, which comes from Sanskrit word for 'pure') by Vineesh.K.J: "rude, unsophisticated, uncouth." Pavitra Online! partners with hundreds of premier content providers in products such as Pavitra! Sports, Pavitra! Finance, Pavitra! Music, Pavitra! Movies, Pavitra! News, Pavitra!
