Victoria Chaplin (born May 19, 1951) is an American actress, the daughter of actor/comedian Charlie Chaplin and Oona Chaplin O'Neill, the granddaughter of Eugene O'Neill.

She was born in Santa Monica, California in 1951, the fourth of 8 children, her eldest sister being the actress Geraldine Chaplin. Her father left America in 1952 and the family moved to Switzerland.

She appeared in her father's film, A Countess from Hong Kong, and he wanted her to star as an angel in his next film called The Freak. However she met the French actor Jean-Baptiste Thiérrée and they eloped to get married.[1] The film did not get made. She and her husband created Le cirque bonjour, then Le cirque imaginaire, later Le cirque invisible, modern travelling circuses which some credit as a source of inspiration for the Cirque du Soleil. Their children, Aurélia Thiérrée, (born 24 September 1971),[2] and James Thiérrée, (born 2 May 1974), both performed as children with their parents and went on to have acting careers as adults.
