Satyabrata Mookherjee

Satyabrata Mookherjee is a former Union minister of state of India and currently the president of BJP's West Bengal state unit. He was minister of state for chemicals and fertilisers and later for commerce and industry in Atal Bihari Vajpayee ministry .
An advocate by profession he was elected in 1999 to 13 Lok Sabha from Krishnagar (Lok Sabha constituency) in West Bengal as a candidate of Bharatiya Janata Party.
Born on May 8, 1932 in Sylhet in Assam (now Bangladesh) he was educated at Calcutta University and studied law at of Lincolns Inn, London and Regent Street Polytechnic, London.
