Prince Mircea of Romania (3 January 1913 Bucharest, Romania – 2 November 1916 Buftea, Romania).
Mircea was the third son and youngest child of Queen Marie and King Ferdinand of Romania. Prince Mircea died of typhoid in the autumn of 1916, during World War I at Buftea Palace, the home of the Ştirbey family.
Mircea's brother the subsequent King Carol II and his first wife Zizi Lambrino named their son (who was born in 1920) Mircea, in memory of Prince Mircea who had died four years previously.
