New Douglas Park is a football stadium in Hamilton, Scotland, which serves as the home of Hamilton Academical F.C..
The pitch was converted to artificial FieldTurf in 2004. Since winning promotion to the top-flight of Scottish football in May 2008, the artificial surface has had to be replaced by grass due to SPL rules. In addition to the turf replacement, a temporary stand was erected in March 2008 to bring the stadium's capacity up to the SPL requirement of 6,000 all seater.
The stadium's record attendance of 5,898 was set on 28th February 2009 when Hamilton played league leaders Rangers in a Scottish Premier League game[1].
