Line of succession to the Bavarian throne

The Monarchy of Bavaria was abolished in 1918. The current Senior Representative of the former Ruling House of Wittelsbach is Franz, Duke of Bavaria. The succession law (Salic law) allows only males to succeed and requires that succession rights only be traced through a male line of descent.
