Henry Sturgis Morgan was an American banker. He was the son of John Pierpont ("Jack") Morgan Jr. and Jane Norton Grew. He was born in 1901 and died in NYC on February 7, 1982.

His father was the eldest son of renowned banker John Pierpont Morgan, Sr., founder of J.P. Morgan & Co.. His mother was the daughter of Boston banker and mill owner Henry Sturgis Grew, and was the aunt of Henry Grew Crosby.

Henry Sturgis Morgan co-founded the company Morgan Stanley in 1935, together with Harold Stanley and other former members of JP Morgan & Co., which was forced to split its Commercial and Investment Banking divisions following the Second Glass-Steagal Act of the same year. His son Charles Francis Morgan was an advisory director at Morgan Stanley & Company in New York. Charles Francis Morgan Jr, son of Charles Francis Morgan, a set designer and scenic artist in Chicago and at the American Stage Festival, graduated from the Taft School and Colby College married Kathleen Estelle Christian the production manager at the Chicago Children's Theater and at the Young Company, the children's theater affiliate of the American Stage Festival in Milford, N.H[1]

Henry Sturgis Morgan owned a vast 448 acre estate comprising the northern tip of Eaton's Neck, NY. He sold the estate on December 19, 1979 to Caesar L. Pitassy, as Trustee for an undisclosed party. The estate is still in one piece and owned by the undisclosed party. It is located at #50 Eaton's Neck Road, Eaton's Neck, NY.
