Halys may refer to:
- The Halys River (Western cultures and languages from the Greek) in Anatolia (Asia Minor), Turkish Kızılırmak ("Red River").
- The Battle of Halys (also very recently sometimes called the Battle of the Eclipse) which is the first battle in antiquity that is 'datable' with any certainty and took place on May 28 585 BC, between the Medes and the Lydians along the Halys River and its valley (present-day "Kızılırmak" river in Turkey.
- In the Aeneid, Halys is a Trojan who defends Aeneas' camp from a Rutulian attack. He was killed by Turnus.
- A taxonomic synonym for the genus Gloydius, a.k.a. Asian moccasins, a group of venomous pitvipers found in Asia.
