From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Jump to: navigation, search

Graphite is a programmable Unicode-compliant smart-font technology and rendering system developed by SIL International. Graphite is based on the TrueType font format, and adds three of its own tables. Originally implemented on Windows, it has been ported to Linux and the Mac OS X (although not integrated into the Aqua environment).

According to its SourceForge development page, Graphite is distributed under the terms of the GNU Lesser General Public License and the Common Public License, thus making it free software.
