Băicoi (/bəj'koj/) is a town in Prahova county, Romania, near the 45th parallel. It lies near Floreşti, a train stop between Ploieşti and Câmpina.
Its name is derived from "Baicu" a Romanian name, possibly of Cuman origin.
Băicoi was one of the villages where Peace Corps Trainees stayed in 2002 and 2003 while they were training to serve in the U.S. Peace Corps in Romania.
