Alien Resident Certificate
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Alien Resident Certificate (居留證), or ARC, is the identification card issued to foreign residents of Taiwan. It is normally only given to foreigners if they are married to a Taiwanese national or have already obtained a work permit to allow them to work in Taiwan. An Alien Permanent Resident Certificate (永久居留證), or APRC, is also available to foreigners. To obtain the APRC, residence must have been maintained for five years if married to a Taiwanese national, or for seven years otherwise.
