27th Congress of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union

27th Congress of the CPSU (February 25, 1986—March 6, 1986) was held in Moscow. It was held after the deaths of Leonid Brezhnev, Yuri Andropov and Konstantin Chernenko. Mikhail Gorbachev was the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the CPSU. Congress gathered 4993 delegates.
